Instrumentation Cable, with or without Individual and overall screen for analog and digital data transmission.
Cable Structure
Conductor type and class:
Annealed copper conductor class 1 ( solid ), class 2 ( stranded ) or class 5 ( flexible )
according to IEC 60228 ( ISIRI 3084 ) or BS 6360
Tape on the conductor:
Mica tape (if any)
PVC core insulation:
Compound type of PVC or PE or XLPE
Core insulation colors:
For multi core cables, color coding or number coding and for multi pair cables, color coding
(according to the customer’s request)
Twisting the string of wires:
The strands are woven together in pairs, threes or fours.
Pair screen:
If ordered, a Layer of polyester film will be applied helically over the pairs. Then a drain wire of tinned annealed copper, will be used along side and they all will be wrapped helically by aluminium foil
General shield:
For cables with collective screen a layer of aluminium foil will be wrapped helically over the polyester tape using a drain wire of tinned annealed copper, under the foil
Middle sheath:
For armored cables, an extruded intermediate sheath of the final sheath material (if any)
Armor:
Wire, braid or tape galvanized steel armor
PVC outer sheath:
Compound type of PVC or LSZH Compound
Sheath color:
According to customer request

Application
These types of cables are suitable for transmitting data and can be used in the control rooms of industrial devices and electrical substations. Electrostatic shielding can protect circuits from electrical interference. Using the structure of paired cables reduces hearing.
These cables are not suitable for direct connection with sources such as city electricity that have low impedance.
